DIY Cocktails
Make your own cocktails, it's not too hard to make a good evening out of this. Invent your own cocktail, Hen gets to decide who to award “Best Barmaid” badge to. To make it truly special for the Hen go that extra mile, do up some Cocktail Menus personalised for the Hen, variations of the originals for example Sex on the Beach (or somewhere interesting the Hen did it), Aran Islands Iced Tea (or any other Island that might mean something to the Hen), Bloody Mary (insert Hens name), you get the idea, use your imagination.
So make some of the classics – Margaritas, Cosmopolitans, Long Island Iced Teas,
Mojitos. Should you wear Cocktail dresses, well, of course, you should, it's your hen party !!
Bloody Mary
1 Measure of Vodka
Worcestershire sauce to taste
2 Measures of tomato juice
Tabasco sauce to taste
salt and pepper to taste
Shake over ice and strain. Garnish with a stick of celery, a slice of lemon. Remember to add spices first, then vodka and finally tomato juice. The lemon juice and slice are optional.
Margarita
1 ½ Measures of Tequila
1 Measure of Triple Sec
1 Measure of Lime Juice
Rub the rim of the glass with lime juice and dip in salt. It is possible to buy lime juice so you don't have to juice a load of limes. Shake the ingredients with crushed ice, pour into the glass and serve.
Strawberry Daiquiri
1 Measure of White Rum
½ Measures of Crème de Fraises
½ Measure Lemon Juice
5 Strawberries
Crushed Ice
Blend the rum, crème de fraises, lemon juice, strawberries and ice in a blender for approximately 20 seconds. Pour into a chilled glass and garnish with a strawberry.
Long Island Iced Tea

2 Measures of vodka
1 Measure of Gin
1 Measure of Tequila
1 Measure of White Rum
1 Measure of White Crème de Menthe
2 Measures of Lemon Juice
1 tsp Sugar Syrup (simply dissolve sugar in hot water, add sugar slowly and keep stirring).
Cracked Ice Cubes
Coke
Wedge of Lime
Mix the vodka, gin, tequila, rum, crème de menthe and sugar syrup with ice. Strain into glass and top up with Coke. Garnish with lime.
Cosmopolitan
2 Measures of Vodka
1 Measure of Triple Sec
1 Measure of Fresh Lime Juice
1 Measure of Cranberry Juice
Orange Peel to garnish
Shake all the ingredients with the ice until chilled, drain into the glass, and finally garnish with a piece of orange peel.
Mojito
Soda Water
3 Tablespoons of Lemon Juice
2 Measures of White Rum
Sprig of Mint
4 mint leaves
2 Teaspoons of Sugar
Put mint leaves and lime into a glass. Add sugar and make a paste with the mint and lime. Add crushed ice and stir in the rum. Slowly add soda water and garnish with mint.
