Why Tralee
Random but great
Tralee is one of those places where you sort of repeat it, isn't it. Like, 'Tralee?'. But take our word for it girls, it's a might spot for a hen. The size is just perfect as nobody will get lost of stray between pubs. But it's also big enough that you won't feel like the locals are staring you down. It's a busy town. And busy towns have lots of people, which means lots of pubs and craic. Plus you are unlikely to meet too many other hens and some groups love that.
Rose of Tralee
Sure we can't leave without a nod to the Rose of Tralee. The best week in the Tralee calendar and an amazing time to visit the town. Accommodation and pubs fill up fast so if you do want to go for your hen, make sure and plan well ahead.
If you are living in Munster Tralee is an excellent option for your hen as it is far away from home, but not at the other end of the country. Buses are frequent and the roads are good all the way.
Activities
Again, you'll be surprised at what Tralee has to offer for a hen. There are all the usual suspects such as spa, paint balling, paint a nude, pole dance etc. There is also an excellent water sports facility if swimming is your gig. There is good shopping in Tralee with several shopping centres plus a chunky TK Maxx. Or if an outdoorsy hen is your mission there are plenty of scenic places around Tralee to take a mini adventure to including Listowel or Blennerville Windmill.
For something really random and if the bride loves a bit of Irish, check out Siamse Tire. You can relive your days in the Gaeltacht when you were 14 with traditional Irish music and Irish language plays. Not for everyone but a certain type of bride will love this.
