PLUS the nightlife is also hopping in Mullingar. It's a big enough town that there are loads of great bars and late night venues.
Location
Mullingar is really central in Ireland and as it is in the midlands, it makes it really easy to get to from pretty much everywhere in the country. You can get the train from Dublin if you don't fancy the drive. Or, if you do plan on going in a convoy, the roads are really good with plenty of places for pit stops and lunch along the way.
