You won’t be short of entertainment if you head to the home of the Shannon. If you’re an adrenaline junkie, we’ve got you covered - water sports centers, go-karting and there is even paintball available near the city! If you’re looking for something a bit more relaxing, don’t ignore Bunratty Castle - a great spot and you can also stay there! An excellent Hen idea is the Bunratty banquet where you can dine in the castle medieval style and drink mead (there may even be costumes!) What more could you want from your hen! For the city-loving ladies amongst you, spa and pamper salons are widely available in Limerick, on top of the wonderful Brown Thomas.
Munster Rugby
Limerick is the home of Munster Rugby and Thomond Park. When the United Rugby Championship is in full swing (Sept-April), it will be easy to get tickets for those games and they have great bars on the grounds. There’s even a guided stadium and museum tour if you’re that way inclined, walk down the tunnel and check out the dressing room! Picture it ladies........grown men running around in small shorts and then get into their shorts back at Clohessys Bar that night in town. We can think of nothing better for a hen night.
Nightlife
Nightlife in Limerick is varied and plentiful. With the colleges nearby there are a multitude of pubs and clubs to choose from for your hen, all of which are usually packed and lively. Have a drink in one of the pubs along the river, head to Catherine Street for a craft beer, and then sip on some cocktails as the sun sets by the Shannon.
