You've just been invited to a hen party, the excitement has kicked in! But then you think 'what am I going to wear?' 'what do I bring?'. Don't worry this is probably running through every woman's head before the hen party. Lucky for you ladies we're on hand to make sure that you don't forget a thing and are fully prepped for whatever the weekend throws at you.

Where Are You Off To?

First of all, you can't really decide on what you need to bring clothes-wise until you know the itinerary for the weekend. Are you going glamping, are you going to an upmarket hotel, are you doing afternoon tea, are you doing an obstacle course, are you going for more than one night? Each one of these options could definitely require a few different outfits for the big weekend.
Once you have the itinerary at hand now's your time to start planning. Try to plan your outfits around your itinerary. If you are doing something active during the day obviously you will need some comfy clothes. If you are going for afternoon tea class is the name of the game. We think its good to have options so bring an outfit for travelling to the hen party, one for the activity (that is fitting for what you're doing) and two for the night time. By bringing two options for the night, one more casual then the other then you are guaranteed to have the perfect one. Never upstage the bride to be. It may be the case that there is a theme running through the hen party if so try to go with this. For a festival theme, wear denim shorts or a maxi dress. For a mini mouse theme black and red works great!

Some of the Extras

Everyone going on the hen party will also need a little survival kit. This consists of all the essentials you'll need to get you through the hen party hangover. Some bridesmaids will plan these already for the group but better safe than sorry. Paracetamol, make up wipes, chewing gum, water, sunglasses, lip balm and concealer are just a few of the must-haves. Put all these into a little makeup bag that you can carry around in your handbag the next day.
When you're packing for the hen party why not throw in a little gift to give to the bride to be as well. It doesn't need to be anything substantial, just something to show her you're thinking of her. This isn't a necessity but it's a really sweet idea that the bride to be will love.
If you're one of the organisers, even if the bride said she doesn't want any, you need to bring some paraphernalia! Turns out a lot of ladies end up changing their mind during the hen party and decide they want accessories! Bring them incase and that way you're prepared whether she wants them or not.

Don't Forget!

Going to the hen party don't forget your phone charger and money ladies! We know that these are obvious enough but we couldn't do a list of things you'll need without including them. Most of all don't forget to enjoy the hen party. Whether you are the bride or just a friend of the brides this weekend is all about celebrating in style. Chill out with friends and family and make it one to remember!

We booked with henparty.ie back on 2019 but when Covid hit everything shut down!! We were finally able to go in March 2022 and any deposits and payments made were easily transferred which was great. Headed to Galway and we were booked in the imperial hotel…
