The Hotel has never been afraid to 'step outside the box', having recently installed a 12 foot outside purple chair at the front of the Hotel, which was designed and built by a local artist, Marc Kelly. The Chair caused a massive stir and is 'enormously' (excuse the pun) popular with locals and visitors, young and old, as a photo location and has become Monaghan Town's, most famous and popular landmark. Its popularity has escalated to such an extent, that the Hotel is currently installing a camera system that automatically photographs people on the chair so their customers can access their photos online.
