Ask Claire; 1 or 2 Night Hen Party?

Hen Party Etiquette and Advice

This week’s query comes in from Aoife, 1 or 2 night hen party?
“Hi Claire, We’ve all finally settled on the location for my sister’s hen, Limerick but the big question now is whether we go for one or two nights. I can see pros and cons for each so I really just don’t know which is best! Please help me out, the hen is in a couple of weeks!”
If you are travelling a few hours to get to the hen I would always advise staying that extra night! That way you can all head off after work on Friday and spend that night having a few drinks and a catch-up. By travelling down on Friday night you are not spending Saturday cooped up in the car instead it can be packed with activities, food and some great bars and clubs and then spend your Sunday recovering ;)
Two nights aren’t that much more expensive than a one night stay so for a lot of groups it really makes sense to make a weekend out of it, a one night stay can just go way too quickly!

Claire’s Advice;
Hi Aoife thanks so much for getting in touch. Kudos on picking Limerick it is one of the best spots for a hen! It is always difficult deciding on whether to stay for one or two nights. First things first, speak to all the girls and see if they can do two nights. You are guaranteed that there will be a few that can’t because of work, family and other commitments but as long as the majority are up for it why not? It’s the bride's big send-off so why not make a weekend out of it!If you are travelling a few hours to get to the hen I would always advise staying that extra night!
