When it comes to food and drink, lay out some nibbles that guests can tuck into throughout the evening. A nice idea would be to keep the theme going even throughout the food. Some great examples include;
- Golden Snitches - Cut out and attaching silver wings to some Ferrero Rochers
- Magic Wands - Pretzel sticks
- Mini Broomsticks - Pretzel sticks stuck into Reeses Cups
- Sour Slugs - Sour snakes
- Fizzing Whizbees - Fizzy sweets
- Butterbeer
To decorate, keep the colours of the houses in mind. Include these colours into the decor including balloons, table cloths, cutlery etc. One hilarious idea would be to make a sign reading 'Free Invisibility Cloaks Here' and attach it to an empty table....it will look funnier than it sounds!
We all know the house colours girls but here is a reminder just in case;
- Gryffindor - Red and yellow
- Hufflepuff - Yellow and black
- Slytherin - Green and grey
- Ravenclaw - Blue and grey
For the dress code, guests can recreate a school uniform with a tie and glasses. Draw the famous lightning bolt on your face using eyeliner and your look is complete! A great idea would be to wear a scarf or tie with the colours of the different houses also.
