Barnardos supports children whose well-being is under threat, by working with them, their families and communities and by campaigning for the rights of children. Barnardos was established in Ireland in 1962 and is Ireland's leading independent children's charity.
Event:
Barnardos 5K Wedding Run is a fancy dress fun-run in the Phoenix Park on Saturday 20th July! Followed by live music, family entertainment, freebies from Weddingsonline suppliers and refreshments at the post-run reception party.
All are welcome! Brides, grooms, hens, stags, flower girls, page boys, bridesmaids, groomsmen, priests, father of the bride, mother of the groom and wedding guests are all cordially invited to take the 5K challenge and help support children across Ireland.
Registration
€25 at www.barnardos.ie with 100% going directly to fund Barnardos services for vulnerable children and families. You can also register on the day from 9am.
*This is the first-ever Barnardos 5K Wedding Run
*Wear wedding fancy dress and trainers. It can be anything from top hats, tails, veils, bridesmaid dresses, hats and fascinators, or any fancy dress you like!
*Everyone welcome - hen parties, stag groups, friends, families, couples and individuals - bring your dog too!
*Olympic sprint star Derval O'Rourke launched the Barnardos Wedding Run. She is preparing for her own wedding in late 2013 to fellow Olympian Peter O'Leary.
When & Where:
Fun run starts at 10 am, Saturday, July 20th. Run is in the Phoenix Park, Dublin, Meet at Furze Road.
