Ask Claire; Surprise Hen Party

This week’s query comes in from Annie who’s sister and best friends are organising her a surprise party, the only problem is she’s a control freak!

“Hi Claire, I’m getting married next year and my wonderful sister and bridesmaids are currently organising my hen for this November, only thing is they won’t tell me a single detail of the weekend! This is a major problem because if you knew me you’d know I’m a total control freak. Please help, I trust them I just hate not knowing what to expect!”

Hi Annie, thanks a mill for getting in touch, we usually hear from the girls organising the hen party so great to hear from the bride! First of all, big congrats on the engagement and upcoming nuptials! Surprises, unfortunately, are not for everyone, we all like the idea of someone surprising us with something we love but for some, the prospect of being surprised becomes a major stress trigger, and that is not a good thing leading up to your hen party.

As you said you trust your sister and besties so try not to worry too much. If you know the girls haven’t booked anything yet, why not start dropping some hints about what you’d like. If you want something active or outdoors start linking the girls some funny videos of that if you want quiet and classy make that clear as well.

I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised how well all the girls actually know you but if you are finding the waiting game just too stressful to handle speak to them and maybe they can find another way to surprise you instead!
