This week’s query comes in from Amy who is organising her best friend’s hen party. Most of the girls don’t drink alcohol and a few are under the age of 18, so they are looking for a teetotaler hen.

“Hi Claire, my name is Amy, I’m in the early stages of planning my besties hen party. Most of us going on the hen party don’t drink or just aren’t big drinkers. As well as that a couple of Amy’s nieces are under 18 but are going so won’t be able to drink anyway. I want to plan a hen party without the alcohol but with the fun, any ideas? “

Claire’s Advice
Hey Amy, thanks a mill for the question. Teetotaler hen parties are becoming more and more popular in recent years.

It’s so so easy to have a teetotaler hen party these days A few years back it was the norm for the girls to go for a mad boozy night on the town for their hen party, these days hen parties aren’t all about the booze, there are just as brilliant ways to spend your last night of freedom than in a bar or nightclub downing shots with the girls.

Activities are key to getting right for a teetotaler hen party, this is going to be the main events of the weekend. There aren’t many activities that won’t work for a teetotaler hen party, it’s all dependent on what the bride to be wants. Even a cocktails class can be made into a mocktail class…YUMMY!

If you are not interested in spending the hen night on the town why not go for a nice dinner and then back to the hotel/house to play some hen party games? There are also plenty of these that won’t require even a sip of alcohol, like the Mr and Mrs Game, the Toilet Paper Game, Truth or Dare and so much more!
